Ellen Davenport nutritionist chicago

Hi There!

My name is Ellen and I am a Certified Nutrition Specialist, a Licensed Dietician Nutritionist, and a board certified Health and Wellness Coach based in Chicago, IL. I am honored to work with clients all over the country!

My specialties include helping my clients improve their digestive symptoms and their relationship with food.  I work with folks who have IBS, GERD, SIBO and a history of disordered eating.

I stumbled upon my love for nutrition after having struggled with my own digestive issues all throughout college. My chronic bloating and discomfort led me to have a confusing and anxiety-driven relationship with my body and food, which exacerbated the issues and caused mental and hormonal imbalances as well. Unfortunately, I also felt very unsupported by my doctors at the time, but these hurdles eventually lit a fire in me to pursue my own career in the health field and to help others with similar problems.

My ultimate goal as a nutritionist is to help every single one of my clients feel heard and supported. I know first hand how isolating, confusing, and anxiety-inducing health concerns can be. I meet clients where they are and create one-of-a-kind protocols for each individual person – because I know that we are all different and have unique needs! I look forward to walking through this incredible process with you one step at a time!

Kind Words From Our Clients

Ellen’s anti-diet and holistic approach to health gave me the space I needed to heal my relationship with food. Overall I was most impressed by her thorough responses, active listening skills, and authenticity that she brings to her practice. My current relationship with food is a reality I never thought could be attainable until I started working with Ellen…As apprehensive as it can be to work with a nutritionist or any health professional, I am grateful to have trusted Ellen to guide me to better health. –Stephanie

Kind Words From Our Clients

Ellen’s warm, encouraging nature bolsters her broad knowledge and holistic approach to make her a wonderful coach, guide, and — I would add — friend. She sets a foundation early on for her clients to help them stay on track to reach success, and I always felt that she was right beside me all the way and that she was just as ecstatic about my growth as I was. Crossing paths with her has been such a rewarding experience; I wouldn’t have rather worked with anyone else. — Jessica
