Hi There!
I am Sara Kahn, MS, CNS, CDN.
I am a board-certified clinical & functional nutritionist in New York City and virtually by video conference all over the country.
Like most of my clients, I have struggled with digestive issues for years, not to mention anemia, nutrient deficiencies, and skin conditions. It wasn’t until I understood the root cause of my symptoms that true healing could begin.
After being diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), I met with several doctors, tried numerous elimination diets and took a gazillion supplements over the years. I would get some relief but symptoms would always return.
Several years later, I was diagnosed with and treated for SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) and the underlying causes, which for me include bacterial gastroenteritis, history of antibiotic usage and major stress. I can now tolerate a vastly increased number of foods, which frankly, makes life way more enjoyable and much less stressful.
I have experienced first hand how nutrition for IBS & SIBO has impacted my health. But it wasn’t just a change in diet that helped. I took an integrative, multi-pronged approach to healing including stress management (thanks to meditation and yoga), movement (regular moderate exercise – no more spinning for me) and improved sleep.

My Training
Masters of Science in Nutrition & Integrative Health (MS); Certified Nutrition Specialist practitioner (CNS) and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) by the State of NY – so that’s what all of those acronyms mean. 😀

Michael and I are managed by our two kitties – Sushi & Sake. Believe it or not, Stacy also has a cat named Sushi. We were destined to work together!

My favorite foods are guacamole, pizza and dark chocolate. And I am beyond thrilled I can eat these again after healing my gut!

I loved teaching beginner’s yoga. My students’ transformations were so inspiring!

My favorite vacations involve nature – hanging with monkeys in Costa Rica, trekking the awe- inspiring landscape of Iceland and hiking the Alps in Switzerland are some of my favorites.
